Day 1:
Cinque Terre towns: Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza & Monterosso Not only an appreciation of Italy's wild landscape, but the Cinque Terre is a testament of human creativity and capability. The forces of nature meet the pursuit of man upon these rugged mountain tops. Below the sea swirls and snaps while above, the Italians have developed an extraordinary way of life in an extraordinary part of the world. Day 1:
Carnivale of Venice In one of the greatest cities in the world during one of the most exciting times of the year, Venice is bursting with colour, costume, music and entertainment. Everyday locals dissappear into prosperous gowns and striking costumes and wander through the streets of Venice behind mysterious masks. And the party continues on late into the night as classical music from the masquerade balls drifts out into the Venetian streets. The vibe is enchanting, the air buzzing, the fascinating costumes against the old venetian architecture makes Carnevale one party the rest of the world does not get to see. Day 3:
Como, Lake of Como & surrounding villages Not even an hour train ride outside Milan's busy streets, the beauty of Northern Italy reveals itself. A vast landscape of blue water, rugged mountains, terraced villages and the medieval centre of Como. A land truly at the heart of italian life, shining amid any seasonal change and calmly rolling on into the next day. Day 1:
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Duomo of Milan and museum Powerful and imposing, the city of Milan reigns supreme in Northern Italy. Thriving on detail, boasting a strong economy and solid industrial growth and the capital for high end fashion, Milan is one of Italy's superpowers. My next trip scheduled on February 1 until February 5, 2015: Milan, Italy Departure time: 1:57pm Expected arrival time: 9:50pm |
